Tasting notes
Château Haut-Brion from Bordeaux's Graves is something truly special, especially this 1982 vintage. The wine blends primarily Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and with 44 years of aging, it's developed a character you won't easily forget.
This wine pops up in volume 7 of "Drops of God" as a special request from Sarah during a celebratory gathering after filming. Remember that scene? They were celebrating a special night, and this wine was the perfect choice for it.
Just look at it—deep garnet with a brickish tint at the rim, showing its age. The aroma is something else: rich plum and cassis with a hint of tobacco and undergrowth that adds depth. Take a sip, and you'll feel the richness of the fruit, with silky tannins that glide effortlessly on your tongue.
The acidity is lively, keeping everything in perfect harmony. The finish is incredibly long, leaving hints of spice and tobacco lingering. For a special night, be sure to decant it and serve it in a large glass to really let it shine.
